Frequently Asked Questions
How quickly can I train again after a sports injury?
That depends on the injury. For minor strains, often after just 1-2 weeks; for torn ligaments, 6-12 weeks. Important: don't put strain on it too early! We guide you safely back to your sport.
What is the difference between a strain and a muscle fiber tear?
With a strain, the muscle fibers are overstretched; with a muscle fiber tear, they rupture. A muscle fiber tear is more painful and requires a longer recovery (3-6 weeks vs. 1-2 weeks).
Can I keep running with runner's knee?
In the short term, you should take a break. Runner's knee (iliotibial band syndrome) is caused by overuse. With targeted physiotherapy, stretching, and training adjustments, you can run pain-free again.
Does health insurance cover the costs?
Yes, with a medical prescription (from your orthopedist or general practitioner), the costs are covered.
